PRINCESS CRUISE LINES!
Princess Cruises has announced it will voluntarily cancel all upcoming trips in response to coronavirus.
The cancellations will affect voyages departing 12 March to 10 May across its entire fleet of 18 ships.
Jan Swartz, president of Princess Cruises, said: “Princess Cruises is a global holiday company that serves more than 50,000 guests daily from 70 countries as part of our diverse business, and it is widely known that we have been managing the implications of COVID-19 on two continents.
“By taking this bold action of voluntarily pausing the operations of our ships, it is our intention to reassure our loyal guests, team members and global stakeholders of our commitment to the health, safety and well-being of all who sail with us, as well as those who do business with us, and the countries and communities we visit around the world.”
Viking Chairman Torstein Hagen announced it would be temporarily suspending operations of all river and ocean cruises embarking from March 12 to April 30, 2020.
TRAFALGER, BRENDAN VACATIONS, COSTSAVER
Our guests’ well being has, and will continue to be, our absolute priority. With this in mind, and the recent announcement of travel bans across Europe, Trafalgar, Costsaver and Brendan will suspend operations in Europe, the UK, the Middle East and Asia from March 13 through April 30, 2020.
Disney closes temporally
While there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at Disneyland® Resort, after carefully reviewing the guidelines of the Governor of California’s executive order and in the best interest of our guests, cast members and your clients, we are proceeding with the closure of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, beginning the morning of March 14 through the end of the month. The Hotels of the Disneyland Resort will remain open until Monday, March 16 to give you the ability to make necessary travel arrangements for your clients. Downtown Disney will remain open. We will monitor the ongoing situation and follow the advice and guidance of federal and state officials and health agencies. Disney will continue to pay cast members during this time.
Disneyland Resort will work with you if your clients wish to change or cancel their visits, and will provide refunds to those clients who have hotel bookings during this closure period. We anticipate heavy call volume over the next several days and appreciate your patience as we work hard to respond to all inquiries.
Thought for the day. PLEASE BUY INSURANCE! You are not always in control of your plans.
WHY USE A TRAVEL AGENT?
I get asked this question all the time. "It is easy to book my own travel they say." and that is true but It is times like these we should be thankful for travel agents. We help you plan every detail of your dream vacation. and in time like these when you have to go through a reluctant trip cancellation we work tirelessly on your behalf. Sometimes waiting hours on the phones with suppliers so you don’t have too, only to be the best advocate for our clients. I am here for my clients. I want to help them, I watch over them as they are traveling I am their advocate and I have their best interest at heart. I want them to have that trip of a life time they saved and saved for. Please know that we are in this together. When this passes, and it
WILL pass, remember to use a travel agent the next time you book your vacation. Our services are priceless and we care about you much more that the on line booking sites. And Please buy insurance.
Thank you to all my very valued clients; I love and care about each one of you and can't wait until this passes to re book your vacations!
I am about to get all my clients home, two on flights now and 1 more on Monday. We become so vested and concerned about our clients. Hoping and praying all your travel dreams come true. Mostly worrying about the what ifs……They have all happened lately.
It is so very hard to watch. At times I have struggled with explaining why to use a travel agent. I get it you can get the same basic price. But when things happen you have a medical emergency or a pandemic We are here for you unlike the on line booking site (some of which are now filing bankruptcy) These past few weeks have been like nothing I have ever seen and don't want to see again. Working around the clock canceling trips, re scheduling trips trying to get people home before borders closed working hard and watching my money lost. But that has not and will not keep me from working my hardest to protect my clients best interest.
Thank you past, current, and future clients for reaching out during this time. We will all get through this and have a great next trip somewhere on a beach! Love you all Stay tune for future travel !!
